Ok, so you suggest, take my throttle body off, and basically hose it down with brake cleaner till all the black sludge comes off? what about the stubborn gunk? what would you suggest i scrape that bit off with?

NO, HE'S NOT!
It's a fairly old joke born off some idiot who put 2 bottles of nos energy drink in the gas tank of his bike. DON'T DO IT!

The way I see it, being that your engine has 250 k on it, I'd say the most cost effective way for you to gain some power would be to swap it for a KL-DE engine. The KL-DE is a 2.5 liter V6 engine that comes on the 626, mx6, millenia and other cars. You could probably get one at a junkyard for about $200, the swap is fairly easy (although if you don't have the knowledge you may need a friend to help you), and you'd get about 30 extra horses and a newer engine.

Go read the worklogs, and you will find tons of information on how to do the swap.

well if i had the cash, and the tools, id do it myself, but I dont have much money to work with, and i have a garage here on base where i live, but i really would have no idea what to look for, and this is my daily commute car, so I wouldnt have the time to sit for a weekend or longer to work on it. and dont have the money to bring it to a shop for them to do it either...:(
Does anyone live near me? or does everyone on here live in canada? haha
i live in cali btw...

i was joking about the nos. lol yeah best thing you can do is either get a klde or a klze. k8 really isnt worth it. but i do have a link that i got from some one on certain mods for your engine that even you can do.

How much do you think a used KLDE or ZE would cost? I looked at the site, got some neat stuff. But do you know where I could get a cheap DE or ZE engine maybe?
