Re: removing resonator?
I say get rid of resonator b4 cat
catalytic converters are a lot more expensive then resonators.

Magnaflow online has pretty good prices. I got mine for about $130CDN IIRC.

Re: removing resonator?
Without a resonator it was one of the quietest Mx-3's around, but I ran a test pipe on that setup oh man it was LOUD! And I would never do that again.
Having no cat around here is a big fine, and if you were around Toronto, they like to target modified cars, and even have mobile emmission stations.

Re: removing resonator?
Mobile emmissions stations? I wish they had them here.
My stock GS sounds really good with the stock exhaust, and the cat hollowed out, and
it passes emmissions this way.
Thanks, s1zzl3.

Re: removing resonator?
Oh here it doesn't matter if you pass emissions, legally you are required to retain the emission devices for the vehicle, and they will check for that. If it fails, it's not a cheap fine, or if they're not in a good mood, they can pull your plates on the spot and you'll have to tow your vehicle home.

and according to them its alright to not have a catalytic in Edmonton
You should look into your local laws if u decide to remove the cat
It is illegal, on the other hand, to have a really loud exhaust
i learned that the hard way when i first installed my Magnaflow without a resonator
worst idea ever...
IF u do decide to go with a can take a look at Remus
heres a KL-DE with one:

quiet but loud when it needs to be.
