Yes. Do it if you really want to, but I recommend searching things like "regret painting interior", "wish I wouldn't have painted my interior" "Noob paint interior", and such.
If you do it well, it can look good. I think a flat dark red could look good, if it matches your seats.

Oh oh oh, I saw one at the scrapper that was BRIGHT YELLOW and chipping to death. It was so ugly I almost died. Really, it hurt my eyes and I had to look away or I would have cried. Then I looked away and saw the blue one that had rice stickers, and I looked under the hood, and a drippy blue SOHC VC was staring at me....

It was a bad day.

Depends on what your building... Daily driver no point in painting the interior, but if it's a show car it will give you more points if it is done right with ALOT of clear!

I would say it can look good on a DD, just don't do something rediculous that most people see as ugly. You don't wear what people show in the fashion industry, show cars are much the same idea.

i had the center console painted diamond white like my exterior..
i would recommend using the same coulor paint as ur exterior...it makes it so much nicer!
but if i were to redo my interior the center console would be the only thing id paint plus a bit of accents here n there
too much of the same colour or any colour, for that matter, makes it look too cheesy

if i were u id do red like u said but the same as ur exterior
then buy like a nice black leather steering wheel wit small red leather inserts same goes wit ur shift knob
n thats it
itll look sexy as hell :)

It could look good and it can look awful. I painted some plastic parts on my mx-3 when i first got it. Dash cluster bezel, radio surround and dash vents. I painted them silver   This was all the rage back in early 2000 :) . I did not do any real prep work or anything, just pulled them out, rattle canned them, and re-installed. Now...eight-plus years later it is sort of a dull gray color  Mostly mine faded horribly and or rubbed off.
I will be changing everything over to black again (stock replacements from salvage yards etc), AND I will be painting the upper plastics black, as well as a new black headliner. :)

I have the same question... I did my headliner and I cut out the material for the sunvisors, but I think they are beyond my skill level haha

a good upholsterer could do a couple of visors in no time. I doubt it would even be that expensive.
