Sorry it took a while. I've been really busy. Here's the grounds:

I have 2 ground wires because that's what the car came with, since it had subs. I just left them both on, and bolted them down. Can't have too much ground. The copper terminals are fpr my engine cut-off switch.
Here's the stuff bolted into the starter:

Today, I'm going to put a terminal on the end of that terrible looking one, which is the + wire from the battery. My car has a stereo whine. I'm going to put my ground wire set off my stock car on this one, since it grounds in 8 places, all around the engine.

i have a 4cyl with battery now in the trunk and i have burned 2 80 amp fuses so far. should i be using a higher number?
battery to fuse to starter, starter to stock fuse box,
stock fuse box to alternator.
everything in car turns on except the engine does not crank all the way before popping fuse in trunk?

do i need a higher number amp?

Thanks

I may be mistaken, but there is no fuse between the battery and the starter. Starter can draw around 400 amps, no problem.

edit, I am not mistaken. There is no fuse.

oh ok, i thought people used a fuse right off the battery incase the positive line got cut or in an accident

a starter can pull upwards of 200 amps on start up, if you are not sure what fuse to put on there put an amp clamp on it and start it under several different temps and conditions, usually for such a high draw circuit though I use a resettable breaker rated for 200 plus amps. http://firebirdsolar.com/200ampdcbreaker.html Like this one.

running ok with the battery in the trunk, voltage is nice and stable too betweek 13 5 and 14 1 depending if load is on BUT

speaker has the whining noise that gets louder with higher RPMs and even louder with AC on.

I am searching the forums now but maybe someone can let me know.

thanks
