Hahah, yes. I did timing belt, water pump, most the gaskets/seals, acc. belts, clutch/flywheel (you have to do this one, the stock clutch wont handle the motor). and some other basic stuff.

I think the project ended up costing around $2200-2400 in all.

I dont have a stock clutch i redid it when i bought the car.

That'll take a pretty big chunk of the cost out then. Which one did you go with?

Yea, just replace them along with the timing belt tensioner and new timing belt belt bearings.

I am guessing you are in the vancouver area?

Just keep your eye on the oil level and find out when you need to change. I burn a little bit of oil too with the K8 and change oil about every 1700 to 2000 miles. I use 5w30 with 219,000 miles and the car still runs great. I have used some stuff called AutoRX. It seemed to help a little.
