OK, so is there any reason why i couldn't just swap the whole ZX-2 assembly into my car?
i don't wanna lower it, since there are some dirt roads here, but it would be nice to get rid of some of the squatting it has. specially for safety. and the old people. lol.
so, can i just go to a junk yard and pull the whole assembly (unbolt steering knucles and upper strut mounts and pull out) and just bolt up to my car?
i did research, but everyone here keeps talking about getting lowering springs.
another member here has seen my car and even he said it's sitting waaaay too high.
Suggestions?

Yes you could do that. I have no idea if it will lower you car. I expect it will but only very little.

ok, so i searched and ask a couple of member, and no one seems to know if there springs (off the regular ZX-2) are stiffer or softer than the ones on my RS. i wanna go a lil stiffer, the .5" drop is great, but i don't know yet what spring to use. stock RS ones or stock ZX-2 ones.
thanks for the info.

Well my understanding, not being a Ford guy in any way, is that the ZX2 is the "Sporty" version of the Escort. That in mind and the fact that it's a little heavier than the MX-3 (I'm pretty sure) tells me that the springs will likely be a little stiffer. I have the Eibach springs for the ZX2 on my GS and THEY are definitely stiffer than the stock GS springs. The stock ZX2 strut assemblies will bolt directly into your car.
