Nice setup lime. Hopefully you can get that kia Frankenstein done. And if I could get a TecII for $620 I would do it hands down. If you ever did worry about vibration you could always isolate it with some homemade rubber mounts...

Looking forward for dyno #'s are you go turbo.

i am going to use it when i go boosted i am going to be using the same one that was on outcast ric racecar MX-3. i leaving off where ric left off iam just going to use smaller turbo form a SC6769 to a SC61. from 1000cc to 550cc smaller intercooler and using a bone stock 1.8 BP engine instead of the 2.0 fully built monster form top to bottom BP engine ric used. in time i'll upgrade the 550cc to like 680cc of hell maybe get 1000cc so i won't upgrade later.

SWEET! love that intake manifold... i'd really like to get one myself.. is that the one racing mazda sells now? was there a noticeable difference from driving wiht the stock one then switching to the custom one?

there was difference compared to the stock intake manifold to the custom manifold and 70mm TB. it's still in the testing stage but would only be for race use or standanlone setup. will not work with the factory TB. i am not using TPS, IAC, VCIS, or the factory BS the stock manifold comes with.
well my bro love the torque steer that it's making. says its reminds hime of what the 88 MX-6 GT torque steer. but it drives and pulls really hard.

I think the concern about moisture getting in the plug holes is because of condensation, not rain water.

I'm curious about the size of your intercooler piping. What size did you go with?

weight the car, car itself (2220lb) not bad. i ran the car at the track N/A but i didn't get a chance to street tune the MX-3 with the new intake manifold & 70mm TB. so the tune was off. shop wideband took a sh_it. i was SOL since the car wasn't putting the power down like it was with the stock intake manifold,60mm TB. anyways i took it easy of the line and down the track with ease did a 15.3@88 i was please but i know i could drive it harder just didn't want to blow the diff of the line with slicks the f-series trans are imfamus for that. i didn't get a power tune to get as much HP in its N/A state since iam going boosted so don't be dissappointed for the low track time and beside i didn't push the car to make a high 14 with i know it can.

Finally boosted 8psi for now still need to be duyo tuned but that will wait untill i change the clutch out. fracking dualfrictin centerforce clutch can't even handle 8psi sad man its sliping bad. i though it could so i have to put my old extreme act clutch back in(f-series trans) at least its good for 300FT/LB + of torque. this will do untill i order the 1.8 miata extreme puck act clutch rated for 400FT/LB + of torque thats with the kia/mazda g-series trans i got waiting for. anyways i'll post pic when i have the change. IFO is coming up i need to get ready.

Where'd you get your TEC II? and how much did you pay...

Just watched this wicked video http://mpsys.ca/MPSv1.htm on the Tec3

...I was going to get a E-manage ultimate but after reading the whole manual this looks like it's 1000x better.. If for no other reason then being completely electronic...and the optional 90degrees of spark..

i hate to say it but i got lucky i found a good working one on e-bay one of the few places that u can find them. i paid 630$ for the unit but i needed to get other parts and so i spend probly around a $1000 to get all the parts need fot the TEC II unit and wire it up. but i spent probly around $5000 to get where i wanted to be. i wanted power so i had to spent $$$$. in my opinion yes a TECII is 1000x better than a E-manage but most MX-3 guys wont or can't afford the setup i went. if i didn't have the cash i probly go e-manage or MS-II.
