Manchester to Glasgow, 207 mile full tank, just over 2.5 hours
then Back again 207 mile 3/4 of a tank about 3 hours.

I was doing alot of tailgating on the way back , saves a tonne of fuel on long distance plus I was going a little slower.

414 mile about 5.5 hours travelling time
I've done Stockport to East Kilbride several time in similar times back in the mid/late 90's in a 2L 323 GXi (323F-GT)

NB to Ontario - 8hrs non-stop w/ good weather, minimal traffic problems and good roads or 12hrs at speed limit with a few stops and other hinderances.

I had to drive 2200 miles twice.

Once to move to Las Vegas. A Mazda 626 with a 3,000 lb trailer. Wife and two kids with me.

Then I did it again to move back to Chicago. Except this time, it was a Mazda 626 with a 2,000 lb trailer and a Mazda MX3 packed to the brim. My wife drove the 626 with the two kids, and I drove the MX3 with two spazz dogs.

Let me tell you, there is NOTHING to see between Missouri and California except dirt. 1,000 miles straight of dirt. I never realized that much of our country was just straight up wasteland. Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Nevada ....... we should just use all of them for dumps for the rest of America's garbage and keep the nice parts of our country nice. New Jersey would probably be alot nicer if they could throw thier crap away in Nevada.

I bought my '93 Mx3 3 years ago and 6 months later drove it from Edmonton to Dawson City, Yukon and back again. Its about 3 easy days driving each way. I had no problems, except the Yukon mud sure sticks to the car.

Longest trip my MX has seen so far was only 200 miles total. And it was a long day of commuting around between Kenmore & Mountvernon. However.. Very soon I am planning a road trip to the Atlanta area.. and I will be making more than a few detours along the way to meet various folks :) I am slating this road trip for either next spring or next fall. (Dont feel like crossing the dessert in summer ya know) Cheers

Depending on how much time I can get off from work will have a lot to do with it.. but.. I was planning on swinging south for the trip to atlanta and then coming back following a northern route :) Time & cash will play a big part in where I can go though.. the idea is still in the planning stages and I still have to convert the car over to 5spd before it will be ready for that kind of distance. But its definately something I would enjoy thats for certain.. :D

Florida To Dallas, TX.

~1300 miles in just under 12 hours ;)

We had dogs in the car too, that we had to stop for every ~3 hours.

Oh I forgot to end my story... my pal and I decided to park up on the side of this backroad next to a farm and sleep, me in the back him in the front- both out like lights in the middle of nowhere ... I awoke just after dawn with a start.. you know that feeling when someone is watching you? Well I opened my eyes to see a horses head almost through the open window sniffing me lol!! It 'd put it's head and neck over it's fence and was checkin me out... worst thing of all it was aroused- a morning stiffy perhaps but jeeezuz it was HUGE! LOL

I was like , 'Jason lets get the f*** outta here!'

I bought the MX-3 to commute from Houston to Austin and back, about 3x a month. It's about a 7 hour drive in Texas heat. I'll be driving it to Portland, OR in April. That's a few thousand miles. Every summer, I'd drive from Arizona down into Mexico, then drive up the entire West coast (from Baja) to Port Townsend, Washington. in the past 7 months, I've logged about 8k Miles all over the western US. I love to drive!
