now were talking about somthing i know! i work in a camera store so shoot away. what is your price range what exactly are you looking to do with it?

I my self have a Canon 350d aka the rebel xt

well I do a lot of night shots and well I would like the opportunity to set my shutter speeds... optical zoom in the 8-12x range would be grand

not looking to spend a lot though
not a fan of the kodak Z720
but im liking the Panasonic Lumix 729

look at the nikon d50 or the canon rebel xt (same one i have)
both are a tad over a grand, you can get the Xt body only for 900somthing cdn.

personaly I like Nikon alot better, got the canon because we dont deal Nikon. but the d50 is a great camera- manual shutter speed, aperature, and all the Lenses you could ever need.
