The picture that you took a close up of was a freeze plug not a head bolt. The head bolts are under the cams.

look at the red circle in the upper right of this picture. This is what a 12 point socket looks like from the end. There shoudn't be many if any Standard size nuts or bolts on your car unless someone was rigging something or rounded one off.
