I think a couple of them have ZE's..they always give mine the run around, but I make up for it in looks! :) By then, I SHOULD have my projectors and lowering springs on!!!!!! May 14-15 Sounds good to me. ~Tyson

Hopefully this year we'll have a good interested turnout. For the 2003 OMM, there was like 9 TO Mx-3'ers that said they were comming. At the last minute they disapeared and only 3 of us ended up going, incl me, but even then, the other 2 decided to head off their own way in the evening, which left me by myself on the second day, the only Mx-3 on the cruise, and one of 2 non-Rx-7's. Fortunately i met some Rx-7's that i met in the Niagara meeting location, and they had CB radio's, as well as I, so we chatted alot of the way home. They were extremely useful cause on teh way, i don't remember were we were, somewhere around Kingston, we encountered this HUGE insta-downpour, I could barely see the Rx-7's tail lights in front of me. Actually almost all of the traffic pulled over to the side of the road, that's how bad it was. We just put on our 4-ways, singlefile in the fast lane, comminucated with eather other using the CB's (except the guy in the Sentra and the Insight, they didnt have one) and kept going at 100km/h. Actually we (er, I) got seperated going through Ottawa to get back to the highway, those CB's saved me there as well. No wonder I'm excited to go back, it was a very eventful weekend.

Speaking of CB radio's. I would hightly suggest everyone get an RF radio for the trip, it would make inter-car communications easy, and the most of the Rx-7 guys had one as well.

If we plan on going, we should decided if were gonna get/share a hotel room(s). That year I want, I was planing on staying at the guys house where we hung out for the evening, but he was overfilled, so i spend the night in the car cause the hotels were booked up, except for some luxury suite which was almost $400 for 1 night. I was thinking of making it "tradition" to sleep in the car, but I couldnt complain about getting a warm room with a shower.

Man, that weekend was crazy for sleep. I worked until 2am the night before to get up for 5am to get backed up and meet at the Niagara checkpoint for 6-6:30, to leave there by 7 and get to TO by 8, to leave TO by 9 and checkpoint in Kingston for 12, which they left cause we ended up running about an hour late. Than sleep in my car, got like 6 hours sleep before an insane 3-4 hour cruise, and driving all the way back to Niagara.

Will one of those $50 two-way radios from radioshack work, or do I need to get a real CB with an antenna? reason I ask is because I know how powerful the CB magnets are, and I don't want them on my roof :) I could probably get a glass mount, but I'm pretty sure they're permanent, and that's, well.. meh. Anyway, i'm pretty sure I'm in. Sounds like a blast, and i just might have a BPT to play with. :2thumbsup:

Ya, that's what i mean, the RF radio's are those small walkie-talkies.
I had a CB radio a while back, and the magnet mount scratched my roof :x It was great, me and 2 friend had it, we used to cruise around and talk with then. My one friend has one that you can plug an external speaker, so he has a pair of el-cheapo computer speakers under the hood and would yell stuff and, er, stuff. But they evnentually got board with them and sold their stuff, i kept mine on for several months later, used it to listen to the truckers on the highways, but it's now sitting on a shelf on my parents house, and and antenna is in the garage. I used to have my CB in the place there the cubby hole is, but i not have my (convinient) DVD/CDRW drive there.

The CB were nice cause you could get come kickass range, you could get from Welland to Pt Col pretty good, but i couldnt all the way home, just upto to Port mall to keep in contact with him, he lives by Canadian Tire Acceptance on Prince Charles.

So, just get an RF radio, that's the way everyone is going anyway, plus i wouldnt want anyone to scratch their car like I did, thank job i'm getting her painted this year.

Your getting a BPT soon?!?!

Don't know, havent gotten one yet, but as long as it's a 14 channel FRS radio (and don't get the ones packaged in pairs, i've heard some weird things about those not being able to work with others) you should be fine.
