Sorry, got my posts mixed up-it was babyblue who had the 4 month old H2O pump. See fry's post above, that's what you'd be facing. Very doable repair for the DIY but it is labor intensive which makes it a fairly expensive job for a mech shop to do.

i'd say it's the water pump you need to replace. it's hard to do it by yourself very small space but you save a lot of money.

Hard to do yourself? Define hard? Definitely frustrating, and get your hands torn up a little, but if you have the basic hand tools you'll need for it, you can do it in a weekend. If you want to know how much it costs at a mechanic, look over on ProbeTalk at what some morons were billed at the dealership. Two guys payed over $1500 for water pump with timing belt (which you'll want to do at the same time) in the last month over there.

The full writeup with pics is here if you're interested:

http://home.comcast.net/~mmunoz70/z/leskatimingbelt.doc

All the parts you'll need will be about $350. I can refer you to links for the proper parts if you decide to do it yourself.

your pump is behind the timing belt, change the timing belt or you will have to do the same job again when you need belt.if you wana save bucs take it apart then install pump and find a mechanic in your area to put belt on,then you put bac covers and mount.where are you located?
