I just took my car for a ride with zx2 and St springs..and have a clunking too but i found out that one of the rear top shaft nut wasn't tight enough...when going over bumps the struts would 'move' up and down doing the clunk..I'll tight it and check if it does it again...Quicksilver..you should do the same.
