Use the expansion foam which can be bought from hardware stores. Set the lens in a box or other object and spray the foam around it. Put saran wrap around the lens to protect it and make it easier to remove from foam. Once the foam is hard, it serves as a good mold. I made a mold of my motorcycle tank for modification. Turned out well.
