Shifter is in now. Its awsome tiny throws, nice and short, good quality. But a few questions and comments. Is everyone else's pacesetter sorta notchy? Mine is very notchy shifting from first to second. The rest of the gears a silky smooth. Is there a way i can fix it? please tell. Oh and since the shifter is shorter now and not bent as much my arm sorta has to stretch alot. Might be because my seat is all the way back cause i'm tall. But its sorta annoying reaching like i have to.

I managed to bend the part where the knob attaches back about an inch.
I don't know about the notchiness. I think what you're feeling is the lack of "slop" that your stock shifter (with worn bushings) had. Make sur the pivot is all greased up and that your attachment bolt isn't too tight. Does the 1-2 shift feel different than the rest even if the car's not running/moving?

I'll try bending it, but maybe after awhile of use. I dont want to break it before i even get to use it

. And it seems to be getting smoother the more i use it. Maybe it just has to get worked in a bit or something. Next time i get a chance i will check the bolt underneath and lube it up some more. Other then those 2 things this thing ROCKS i love the tiny throws!

If you have side to side play in your shifter, it probably isnt' your shifter...its probably your linkage arm.
I looked at mine and the two bushings on the other end of it were totally gone causing about 3" of side to side play inside the car. Now i need a new shifter arm b/c the bushings on that pivot point aren't removeable

Are you sure they're not removable? The SRD bronzoil bushings are a set of four, 2 for the shifter, and two for the other end of the shifter arm.

I'm thinking about ordering Lucs bushings. I know a guy that made them fit in his pacesetter shifter. Hopefully that will help smooth the shifting out a bit.

When I first put mine in the shifts were a little hard. After a while it got lighter and easier to shift. Give it a little while.
