I think 7000rpm is about 136 mph in 5th? I doubt the engine develops enough power to overcome wind and rolling resistance at that speed on a level road. My guess is 125 mph with a stock K8.
Re-shaped and re-sized gearshift lever. Best driveability mod you can do!
Extra thick soundproofing in the boot (trunk) to quieten my stainless steel exhaust system :)

Depends on the car, 10% is not at all unusual - check out a few magazine raod tests.<p>Autocar tested a UK MX-3 1.8, they got 124, this would have been A On a banked circuit so tyre scrub would have knocked a few mph off and B With a tight new engine.<p>But I think you're right, 240kmh looks unlikeley with a stock engine. <p>I guess he could have been using small tyres !

I have gone 230km in my 1.8....a little down hill....on the highway.....but it worked.........
