well here's the current list.. call up ur local air force academy, ask for part number ziggy ziggy zam (83939439) price $398,000. Then, buy three packs of dug tape, and 2 zip ties. Pretty much, just duct tape the drive shafts straight on to the turbine itselft (faster spinging ness) then.. just zip tie the engine down to the chasis.. oh.. and for the throttle.. i took off the windshield and just lean forward and play w/the throttle that way.. better everything that way.. then.. u close the EVERYTHING... and eat it.. and win races... Fast and the furious baby... wait... :p

O.K. First thing, the "Cobra" or AH1W (depending on what mod)is a MARINE CORPS bird. Please dont confuse anything CORPS with the air force. Second I know a lil something about that power plant. And it would never fit in an MX-3.
You would have to remove the A/C and super glue would have to be used to mount the fluex capsiter to your K&N. Also I would double up on the zip ties. Nothing worse then being wooped off the line by you'r own engine. And never never..NEVER start a race without atleast 2 anchors to slow you down. I cant count the number of beraks I have melted / fused to my rolly go round things.

-AWD Pulsar gti-r, u13 Bluebird SSS atessa (altima) just to name a few
-RWD Silvia or 200sx (whatever)
-FWD u12 bluebird SSS(stanza)
The FWD and AWD were only available in the redtop though. (below is a link to a u12 clip for sale)
FWD u12 clip
Assuming someone would be stupid enough to attempt putting that thing into a mx-3 they would have more money than brains. Even to put the sr20det into my altima (which it comes with in australia) I would be looking at a small fortune. But hey all the power to you...I have seen a civic with a mitsu 4g63 in it though. Now that was impressive.

OK, since y'all have gone off on about 6 different tangents, I'll bring it back around to the original question,...
I brought up this subject a while back on this post:
Hot rodding the B6, the old way,...
I did alot of ground work & just to let you know now, you will get alot of more useful info from the guys over on the Miata forum on this subject than in here. It's difficult to find anyone here who wont yell SWAP IT!!!
Bottom line, yes you can bore it over (3mm safely FYI), drop in stock MR2 F1 pistons, & use modified cams & get a major increase in power. All for alot less than it would cost to buy a new engine, not to mention swap it.

hey freq... I had read urs a while back and remembered it having two pages. Now I only see one!! What happened? Anyway, didja ever end up doing it all and how's it run? Thanx man!
Oh, and what didja end up doing for fuel/computer? Cause, I know that u can throw alotta cam work/piston work into the car but it won't do ANYTHING w/out tuning the computer right. What didja do to tackle that?!?! That's the one thing that kinda holds me back.
[ April 25, 2003: Message edited by: Timmyd865 ]

a lot of us say swap it because the price of modifying the current platforms puts you up the performance levels of what your swappin in but the swap is usually cheaper
[ April 25, 2003: Message edited by: torpedan ]

I was lookin at it & you're right, looks like sum1 trimmed the silly crap outta there,...
Ah well, the good info is still there.
Here's the beef, I sold the MX-3. While I am constantly amazed at what you can fit in the back of one, you still cant haul a motorcycle in one. I'm a bike mech & needed a truck.
Besides, gotta concentrate on my real toy, a '70 VW beetle that I'm totaly re-engineering into a 2 seat open cab coupe roadster. Too much tech to go into here, & I doubt most a y'all really care.
As far as the computer, you have all kinds of options out there. Personaly, I'd steer WAY clear of all the crap marketed towards the ricer comunity. All you'd need at minimum is a decnt piggy back, but it's way hard to sift thru the junk & find the good stuff these days.
There are some real sweet systems out there that actualy work. The SDS seems to be the best bet for the money as it can be adapted to anything & you can tune on the fly. If I had the $$ tho, I'd go for the Holley Commander 950.
These are things I'm still lookin at too, the plans for my VW include a mid engine 2.5L turbo with EFI. :D

Wow. "sold the Mx3" "bought a truck" and "ricer community" all in the same post.....geesh, what a traitor......
Even more severely off topic- read an article about 10-12 years ago about a couple of guys that cut the rear seats out of their bug and dropped in a Chevy 5.7 I dont remember the details but it sounds like a lot more fun than a 2.5 ......?! If I could just find a way to fit the 5.7 into my Mx3, I'd be onto something here....SWAP.

Building a NA B6 is very cost inefficient. For the cost, the limited increase in displacement (maybe 100cc at most) you could get a turbo setup with much better gains. BTW, 3mm overbore is overdoing it. What will you do when you need to hone the cylinder?
FM is currently working on a 2.0L stroker kit for the BP which I should be picking up near the end of the summer for my new project. 200cc extra isn't much of a gain but when teamed with a t3/T04E the gains are very impressive. Price is around $3700usd for the kit. TODA makes a stroker kit for the B6 for about $3000 usd.

OOOOOHHHH yeahh,
Well I'm going to KrAzY gLuE all 3 of the Space Shuttles boosters on top of my car. It's good for at least 0.25 sec 1/4 mile. All I need is a portable catapult off a carrier for my launch. ;)
LOLOLOLOL

ok well......i think youll do better than a 1/2 sec quater mile with the flux considering you can go....back in time!!!!!!! 0 sec quater...its like it neva happend!!
also, what determines rice.....ok rice could be i put a big as kit and wing on my car and that an intake and exhaust and thats it....but from the stand-point of styling thats cool....and that would make a team blackwidow(from green bay wi) a ricer but their not. some say tossin an allum wing on is rice...some say just a carbon fiber wing is rice. some say tinting windows with an exhaust is rice....some say a non stock looking car is rice.....so what is rice????????
to me...rice is taking a 1.6 sohc mx-3 or a 1.5 sohc crx or a del-sol and saying its fast. rice is claiming ur car is something its not...saying that an intake ane exhaust make ur car fast and you think ur a hot shot with it....revving ur engine to gain attention....and most of all rice is when you pop a hood of a mx.....and everyone starts to laugh and points...haha nice intake...whered ya get that big metal thing from..and all i can say is hey dumbass...ya see all the wires leading into ur intake tube....wheres mine? oh yea thats right its all right there!
i got a 90 pgt...but wish it was a mx-3 bp-t!
