There's a member on here that knows almost everything, even the question you just asked. His username is Search... and he even has his own link, which streamlines all questions. He's good! :P

The FAQ pages are helpful too with that info. No one wants to re-post the same things, which is why someone will always be sarcastic. You can find the specs on these forums just by searching.

I just wasted quite a few seconds reading this thread.

1 - The language barrier is pretty crazy
2 - Props to this guy, but he definately isn't a crafty fellow. For sure going the hard way, for less gain.
3 - I can't believe I just wasted those seconds.
Now with Moderator power!

i cant believe you guys forget about me in such little time i dont post on the forum :(
Well the_kid, i am from Portugal ... but :
Buna , ce faci ?
When i bought my MX3 K8 , i went to a dyno test full stock and i got this :

Full Stock
torque = 133.2nm
crank power = 114,8 bhp
wheel power = 93,4 hp

i was quite upset because the car felt quicker, and it was a 1800cc ... i mean .. wtf !
in Portugal is quite hard to even get a KLDE, let alone a KLZE . So, i started to try and upgrade my engine like you
I have done a few mods, most of them people in this forum said i was wasting my money, some mods i loved, some mods i did not even noticed any improvement. But when they were like this , i made another dyno:

Iridium plugs - K1 Racing 10mm plug wires - no cat - MazdaSpeed exhaust tip - fuel pressure raised - MazdaSpeed groundwire kit

torque = 160.8nm
crank power = 136,8 bhp
wheel power = 108,0 hp

To the people that said the k8 cant be chip-tuned, ive been told many times by my old mechanic that mine would not be the first one with that upgrade. i just could not afford it at the time.

with ebay stuff , i got an upgrade of :
torque + 27.6 nm
crank power + 22 hp
wheel power + 14.6 hp

btw, i have posted here both dyno sheet's ...
on the other hand, i can understand its better to just swap to a klde, and i will ASAP, but my priorities changed ...
i will return , just wait :)
K8 :: 136.8 bhp---160 nm---108.0 whp---118lbs/torque
