WRX STi or Lancer Evo?

If you had a choice between these 2 cars and 10k to modify them, which would you pick? Best bang for your buck, cause me and some of my boys were talking about it and to us one doesn't seem to outshine the other. I must know!!

I saw a head to head on this on Speedvision just the other day. The WRX has higher overall HP but the Lancer beat it out overall. They did a few laps around the track and the Evo was faster. They did some emergency manouvers and the Evo beat the WRX. They had a Rally race and again the Lancer won fastest time. The test drivers said they liked the WRX power but liked the Lancer even more. Easier to drive. They are VERY close but at the end of the day the Lancer beat out the WRX on all tests.

Couple of questions on the new Lancer. Did the U.S. version come with the electronically controlled AYC ( I think its called) suspension? Is it a six speed in the mtx version?

one more fact about the sti is that it is nearly maxed out. better getting the impreza and tuning that...but id take the lancer evo over the wrx sti

The WRX STi didnt loose on all of the tests. If i remember correctly the STI beat the EVO in the 1/4 and on the skid pad. But the EVO beat it on a dirt track. And the driver (some rally expert guy) said the EVO was easier to drive. But the WRX STI to me is a WAY better car.

the Evo won all tests. The WRX has more power overall but the Evo won the emergency skid test, the dirt, the track race thing where they go around. Not sure what show you saw but the one I saw the EVO had faster times in ALL emergency and rally tests. It handles better because it has less power and is lighter. So what if the WRX won the 1/4.....it's a rally based car, not a drag car. So for where it matters as it was designed, a rally car, the EVO wins on all points. and price is no exception

who cares about performance i love the look of both of them and would buy both even if it came equipped with a 1.0 litre 50 hp engine.

The evo's are nice looking cars. I would pick the evo if I had this choice. Its just better looking I think.
