I need your opinion!... yes you!

Post by Shades »

My cat is broken inside... and no I'm not taking it to the vet... I was wondering what kind of high-flow cat are out there, what would you recommend?
I'm assuming that if I get a high-flow cat I'll have to change the stock piping, yes/no?
Oh yeah I have a '96 4-banger... all stock cat and res... from the res back I have 2.25" custom piping and high-flow exhaust... not sure if you'd need that info but yeah.
Also if I get a high-flow stuff put in will it decrease my gas consumption? I'd think not but I'm not sure...
Thanks in advance guys!
[ October 28, 2002: Message edited by: Shades ]

hey
At first, you just need to replace your cat for a pipe, that's all. It will take about 10 min.
It won't decrease your gase consumtion, but you will have more torque.
You should really get the high flow cat, your baby will run like the wind!
Latersss

you could hollow your cat out, or buy a high flow cat. It doesn´t matter which one you buy, it´s only a pipe, so there shouldn´t be much difference.
Good luck
