?:about the BPT Protege swap

i have a 95 mx-3 and i want to swap my 1.6 motor for a BPT Protege turbo motor i want to know if i have to change the mounts and what kind of ecu do i have to use if anybody have information please write me an email to boricua_in_atl@yahoo.com thanks

I hate saying this to people but search I guarantee its there
and yes you have to change the mounts

you dont have to change the mounts, but it is recomended you upgrade to the mazda speed ones. ecu, well its obvious youll have to use a protege ecu and piggyback or go with a standalone. id suggest standalone for there are many more options and benefits of it. hope that helps answer the questions you asked.
i got a 90 pgt...but wish it was a mx-3 bp-t!

yes, the mounts are the same size.

please search, there is sooo much info on the bpt swap here.
i got a 90 pgt...but wish it was a mx-3 bp-t!

do you have to rewire or get a diff harness for a Pro ECU.

boricua_in_at: have you thought about just turboing your motor? cjthor and jademotorsports both made ~200whp with that kind of set-up.

a dohc mx3 CANNOT use a protege ecu with the stock wiring harness.

you change the bracket, not the mount.

PLEASE PLEASE search these types of questions.

also, you can meet up with the MOCA guys at the waffle house up near you. go to their website and meet up with justin. he can help you out as he's done this swap as well.
