Stuck radio antenna

Post by Andrew_Pakula »

My radio antenna has been stuck for as long as I've owned my car about 3 years.
I've never really bother to correct it earlier but I think I would like to fix it now.
Basically its just stuck and won't go up or down and has been in the same position for at least 3 years.
Any ideas how I can loosen it up and get it move?

Well this year someone bent the living hell out of mine and then shoved the bent part of it back in the hole, so it was stuck forever. When i looked at it i tried my best to unbend it and eventually i pulled back and pulled it out. if the antenna gets bent just a little, it will get stuck in the hole. First i would try to see if you can get any movement out of the antenna at all, either in or out.

Grab some pliers and pull like hell man.
Failing that, park it on Jane and Finch for an hour and let someone steal it off your car...
[ April 25, 2002: Message edited by: marksoden ]

if you need an antenna, you can have mine... it has been out of the car for about 3 years now. It came out when I had the car reapired after the second accident. The body shop filled the hole and now there is no break in the A-pillar lines.....
cheers,
[ April 26, 2002: Message edited by: precidian ]

I say, Ahmed. What is that thing you do when you're about to assassinate an infidel?
