Re: Carbon Fiber Sunroofs!
Reinforce it with a strip of aluminum beneath the hatch, connecting the bolt holes on each side. This will distribute the weight and more importantly, the pressure applied when the spoiler(car) is moving.kulluminati777 wrote: Do you think there strong enough to hold a Mazdaspeed wing?

Re: Carbon Fiber Sunroofs!
I contemplated it when I bought mine, but I wouldn't have the heart to drill holes in it, you just cant patch that up like metal or even fiberglass. I had contemplated a different wing for that reason.
I don't remember who bought mine, but it stayed in Ontario...

Re: Carbon Fiber Sunroofs!
So I finally got my CF Sunroof... It's a bit flatter than the MX3 original. I'm hoping that bolting it down will give it the slight bend it needs to conform to the roofline.
Otherwise the shape is correct, but it's not perfect... We will have to see how this plays out.

Re: Carbon Fiber Sunroofs!
I see it hasnt been in the sun yet. Its in the paint booth now? Please get it clear coated so it doesnt end up like mine lol
Re: Carbon Fiber Sunroofs!
Oh yes... it is still in the booth, and yeah, it's getting a nice happy full UV protection clear coat (along with the rest of the car) to save the shine.

Re: Carbon Fiber Sunroofs!
That looks awesome! I am sure it would really pop on a red or silver car!
