That is what is going to cause it to smoke. The other one you could probably block off if you wanted. But I would clean it all out with carb cleaner.

Usually it goes from the PCV to the intake tube not the IM directly.

ill probably just do one for now and clean it again and put carb cleaner in there and see how it goes before i change the intake. i would assume that i have to have both hoses connected (i also have a 1.6L rs there must be a difference between the 1.6 and 1.8 sohc)
