KLZE Distributor cap and rotor

Post by gerald_23 »

Does anyone know if there is a OEM distributor cap and rotor that would work on a KLZE distributor? I need to replace mine and I rather not modify a cap. The older MPV looks similar online but I haven't seen one in person to confirm.

On an side note what should the fuel pressure be around on a klze with no vacuum?(key on but the engine not running)

I don't know about the cap, but the fuel pressure without engine running is 0.

Key on. So when the fuel pump primes. I have 40 psi right now. Its pretty much the same when idling to so I just wanna know what would be a good starting point

the only thing you know for sure is that your check valve is good.

Pump does not prime with key "on". Not in these cars.

Thank you Ryan. I will change my question. Does anyone know what is a good starting point for fuel pressures on a klze?

Also Daninski I just got off the phone with corksport. They no longer carry the distributor cap. They were getting it from japan but could no longer get it anymore

I am quite sure the ZE runs the same fuel pressure regulator as the DE, which is the same as the K8. Convenient.

with FPR taking vacuum 30-38 PSI

fpr disconnected from vacuum 37-46 PSI

Its not an exact science if you have oxygen sensors.
