Is that all there is to be said about valve issues? (and if so, why even bother between piston rings vs valve problems? Pistons are for sure not worth getting into, as I understand it.)
Pistons should be simpler as far as DIY work goes. It depends on what valvetrain items you're replacing. I much prefer replacing piston rings to valvetrain, granted that is with the engine pulled. I haven't attempted either with one in the car, so I can't speak on that front.Polonius wrote:So basically, it's cheaper or easier to swap for a BP than to replace valve related parts?
