Ok i did the HEI mod, bypassing the old ignition module with a new GM one. I crank, and the car doesn't start. So problem unsolved. I can't think of any simple wiring thing i couldv'e missed. I have a 5-speed manual. Did i have to get a module to match? There were some options for that at Autozone. idk Maybe the distributor or the ignition coil is bad. In that case, i just wasted my time. I hope not. Any suggestions? Resistance on the CRank sensor is in specs, but my mechanic friend says that doesn't necessarily mean it's good.
