anyone know where to get cheap windshields?

i need a front windshield for my 93 mx-3 and i was wondering if there is anywhere that is cheaper generally then safelite theres is about $280 installed. i live in northeast pa

If you provide the glass it's cheaper, you should be able to get one from a junkyard for less than a brand new one.

I had my windshield replaced a couple of months ago with new rubber molding for $240. Can't really beat that. I'm betting you could do better since my glass had to be shipped in from the US.

Mine was replaced for 130 installed at a local glass shop, I have had it crack twice(fire damage the first time, hail damage the second).

MX-3 w/ curved neck millenia klde, boosted @ 5 psi. /bov and wastegate are good!/ nitto drag radial/ gutted interior/ millenia red top injectors, vortech fmu/aem wideband/ all bolts ons/ Car put together 100% by me. Mechanic? who needs a mechanic? ew.. real men work on their own cars!

Im not sure what insurance company you use but my glass is 100% paid for by them, no cost even when a stone hit mine. check your coverage ;)

I found a local wholesale place that sells custom parts and stuff. Bought the windshield brand new for $50. Then went over 10 blocks to Picknpull were they have a glass installation place right next to it. Paid $60 for the install.

Yea, I was going to say....call your insurance company and see if its covered.

thanks everyone looks like i will be making alot of calls. and i wish i could go through insurance but i just bought the car with a cracked windshield i don't think that will work
