now that i have my battery in the trunck and running a 1/0 gauge wire to the engine bay and going through a distribution block then to the starter...
what i wanna know is what size of fuse do i need to put in the distribution block for the starter?
ive put a 80A fuse and it jumped right away...

you blew the 80 amp fuse? There are no fuses for the starter because it can draw over 300 amps on startup just make sure that you run factory size or better for the starter wiring and you will be fine. If you still want some circuit protection put a battery disconnect on the wiring to the starter from the block.
