I don't understand.
Why can't your drive manual? I don't know what P1 or nsw means.

It's a graduated licensing restriction...or some such thing. Your question is better asked in an Ausi driving forum. If you have trouble with your car...call us.

Im an Aussie P2 driver and sad to say mate, but no. there is no way around this unless you go and get your licence again in a manual vehicle.

Re: P plater seeking exception , sydney nsw AUSTRALIA
hahaha yeah, I feel the pain... my two best mates both got auto licences first. One of them got his L2 in an auto, clocked up his hours for his logbook, then bought a manual car, so just re-sat the driving test in a manual, but didnt have to re-do his log book hours, and went straight to P1 in manual.
I beleive (in WA, at least) you can get your man licence from just re-sitting the test, but you'll start back from P1 again after doin that... But its worth it - you get fined and car imprisoned if you get caught driving on the wrong licence over here.
But NSW laws could be different - my sister lives in Sydney and says that you guys have to pay to get off your P-plates over there (so she's now been on P-plates for 5 yrs hahaha) whereas here you just get a letter in the mail saying you're no longer on a provisional licence.
I think the best thing to do would be to call the licencing centre and find out what your options are.
It's probs worth goin back to P1 to drive a manual, though - better than bein stuck in autos forever!!
Alternatively, you could go somewhere like the UK, where there is no differenciation between auto and manual licences and renew your licence there. My sister did this (accidentally) while she lived over there, and can now drive manuals legally over here hahaha... not real cheap, though
