how did you test? there is one fuel pump relay bolted on the passenger side of the ECM. The other one is probably related to the ignition switch.... check the manuals?

Re: No power to fuel pump

Well here's the story...Everytime i wash the motor it runs for abit and then doesnt for a few hours to a day or so...So yea something gets wet...Well this time when i slightly cleaned it i was careful to avoid as many electrical parts as i could....afterwards it ran for about 10 mins then died...So finally i decided to actually try to figure this out instead of just waiting it out...so using the semi-unless chilton book i got i check fuses and looked for wet connections and made it to the fuel pump (Not finding the relay) and using a multi meter and ( according to the chilton) b/r wire on fuel pump harness should have voltage which it didnt...and yes ignition was on lol...So after looking at the workshop manuals on here it says where to find it and what to troubleshoot...so hopefully this weekend ill dig into it...

Did you use the high pressure wand on your engine bay?

there is usually a lower pressure setting for the engine bay, tell me
you used that and not the high pressure

Its likely nothing to do with the fuel pump if every time you wash the engine bay
it stops working. The distributor cap for example does not have a waterproof seal
on the cap to protect the rotor. Unplug all the electrical connections related to
spark and fuel and spray them out with WD-40 ('Water Displacement' 40) and then
let em dry

see if that gets it going

wait wait wait.

if key is 'on' there is no power to pump. only on 'start' and when motor is running.

Well reason im leaning towards the fuel pump is when i turn the key to "on" i dont hear the pump running like i used too and no i didnt use the high pressure i used...a cup  thats how careful i was!!! Thats why i dont understand how it could have happened...

the pump does not run with ignition at 'on' unless the car is running. its in the manuals, and my cars didn't...

I don't know what you heard before, but hard wiring doesn't change itself.

Then why did it run for those first 10 mins?...thats the part i never understood...if water shorted something out i would assume it doesn't run at all? But every-time this happened it ran at first...

are you sure its fuel? You've been checking for it wrong so far.

Check spark? air? dead disty is oh-so common.

you know the fuel pump is under the rear seats right?
The plug wires are also vented... sooo stop washing your engine bay without knowing what is IN your engine bay
