Swapping MX3 RS to BPT

Post by DeadMaker »

Ok here is the subject.I want to change my 1.6doch engine to bpt.
The problem is that here in Greece is very difficult or maybe impossible to find this engine
So what would be the best?To pay some extra money to import this engine or to buy a bp engine from here and turbo it later?
Is there any difference between this two motors?(exceptd from turbo)
What will i need for making turbo the bp?
Thanks..

There is 0 difference between BP and BPT motor. Same cams, same crank, same rods.

Just need a manifold/turbo.

well with any other turbo set up you need management and turbo pipes and intercooler and BoV and WG and the rest of the stuff that wouldn't come with the BPT anyway.

Do you know what you're doing?

I haven't decided yet what modification to do..All depends from the money...
I just making a research.
And it says also that i need gtx injectors 330cc and rx7 fuel pump and some other things.
But why gtx injectors??If i use the oem injectors instead of them will be a problem?

Yes i know that...
You mean to use the b6t kit?
But you know is different when you are in 1.8 turbo with minimum hp 180 hp
And if you are planning to spend some money well take the 1.8...(this is my opinion:)
