This forum is for discussion of topics relating to MX-3 lighting such as Headlights, Tail lights, Accessory Lights, Interior Lights, Etc. For example, Rear Euro Altezza Style Tail lights, Headlight units, LED's, HID's, Bulbs, Interior lights, Neons, Strobes, Auxillary Lights/Fogs or anything filament and gas discharge related.
Also anything dealing with the elctrical system.
curious if anyone know what style / look the mx-3 (1996) flasher cube looks like so i can purchase the LED version instead of installing in-line load resister's everywhere.
Examples:
I'm assuming that its this one here but i need confirmation.
Dont think its this one but someone should know
Thanks

our flasher relay is more like the top one than the bottom one, but i have never seen one that exactly matches our harnesses. i ended up buying one like that white one and crimping wire terminals onto a bunch of wires, essentially making an adapter between the MX harness and the flasher relay. works fine, no fast blink, no resistors
there's a relay of some-sort that's bolted to the ECU chassis that i think is the flasher cube but i cant tell as it was from the parts car that is now gone

On a related note, where is this flasher unit. I think mine needs replaced, I have fast blink problem. Looking at the manual, does it sit behind fender liner in the wheel well?

Okay, not all relays are flasher relays. The one bolted to the ECM is the fuel pump relay. Fast blink problem is NORMALLY a burnt bulb, as the circuit depends on seeing the proper resistance. If the cluster bulb is burnt out it will affect it too. Ground can always be checked too.
The flasher unit is under the dash in the drivers side footwell, up with the defog relay, at the back on the 'inside' (nearest to pedals). According the the diagrams...
It is an 8 pin connector w/ 7 used pins
G/W - P - G/Y - B
B/R - Y/L - G/B - Blank
G/W (right) and G/B (left) are the voltage for the dash lights and signal lights. (12v)
G/Y is the ground via the hazard switch (hazard switch closes ground)
B is constant ground
Y/L is "right" from the signal switch (12v) (15A meter fuse)
P is the "left" from the signal switch (12v) (15A meter fuse)
B/R seems to be solid power (15A hazard fuse)
Yeah, I'm bored.

Does it by chance have the same pin-out design as the first picture i posted???

No. If you read what I said, and used your brain, you'd see that I said
G/W - P - G/Y - B
B/R - Y/L - G/B - Blank
Which is a 4x2 pattern, with one of the corners out.
That, has a 5x2 pattern, with two middle ones out.

Sorry, it was frustrating to go through all of that effort, and then someone ask a question that was implicitly answered. This goes back to the question that should be asked much more often on forums:
"Must I spoon feed you, too?"
Here comes the airplane... vrroooooooommmm....... "No."
