Plug wires on Ebay, does it matter which one?

Post by SteeleMX3 »

I'm looking at some spark plug wires listed on Ebay and I've found some ranging from about $30 all the way to $200 (which are more expensive than the ones for $162 at Partsource). I'll consider getting any set just as long as they are reliable and better than the ones I have now. Please check out the links and give me some feedback :D .

There are a LOT of different choices here.. most are ok.. some are bad. Trust me on this one.. Dont buy any plug wire from e-bay that claims to have "Iridium" in it. They suck. I ran those for almost a year (hey they were a 10mm supposedly high performance wire for $75) Before discovering that they were arcing out and misfiring.. replaced them with some NGK's and my idle got smoother.. my gas mileage improved.. low end torque seemed better.. all around an improvement just going back to stock. Bosche wires are usually pretty cheap. But I think you will find that some local stores might be a better choice even if the price is a bit higher. Some places offer lifetime warranties on plug wires bought from them. Just save the receipt and change them out yearly ;)

You can't go wrong with NGK, that's what came stock on these cars. I'm currently looking for a set but don't want to spend $80 on one.
