as young as I still am, I can relate to that.

I have't really done anything 'fun' in life. Most of my friends have been on europe trips, partied, spent their time doing what they liked.

I've been working at least part time while being in school since age 12. I was first by about a year to own my own vehicle. I owned my own thousand dollar dirt jump bike before that, and my own game consoles before that.

I was one of about 20 from our gradiating class of 300 to attend post seccondary education. I've saved enough for two years, and in summers I'm making $1600 bi-weekly in a 50h/week labouring job, and a weekend job.

My friends think they have it good now, but in 6 years when I'm pulling in a fat 75k a year to play with cars on the design level... ;)

I'm the same way too. I was raised by a single mom, in a dutch household. I was always jealous that my friends got to stay out on school nights, go to parties, etc. But I was always afraid of the "WRATH"! My wife and I own two houses, I have three cool rides, and am the only one in my family to both graduate high school and go on to university. I think I'm doing fairly well for 25 years old. Mitmaks, you're absolutely right, there's no sense in devoting your life to somebody if they can't share your passions as well. It took a few years for Jill to understand the car thing.

^ lol I was one of those too! My mom is from Venezuela and my dad was Italian (I was born in Venezuela). I also was the kid at home while my friends had fun. Well when I turned 17 and got my license, and I went out and bought myself my dream car. Paid it cash with some of the money that I saved for years. Kind of regret it, but it was fun having the fastest car in school on my senior year. :D

man.. you need a filter. Crap like that will always offend someone. I know there was no harm intended, just a thought.

On a side note: They are damn good fighters.

I can relate to the parents thing too - I'm from Ukraine. It's actually awesome that on this forum it's not only the younger members that are into little sports cars lol. Usually the older ones are living in the past with their old school american muscle or whatnot, it's quite refreshing for a change.
