Need some help.

Post by Inodoro Pereyra »

Ok, I've been searching for a couple of hours, gone through the owner's manual, looked at the online manuals, googled it, and nothing.
Can anybody point me out to any front, side, rear and top views of the MX-3?
I'm not looking for pictures (plenty of them here) but drawings I can use to make a scale model of the car.

Thanks in advance. :)

Maybe, and...maybe. :)
Initially I want to make a wooden model to check different add ons and see how they look. Also I MAY have access to a wind tunnel (through a former customer), so I'm interested to see if I can improve the car aerodynamics a little.
But once I have the wooden model, making a lexan body is fairly easy, so one can always dream... :D

Yeah...it is...
Did you take a look at the T-bucket?

http://www.conleyprecision.com/cars.htm

Imagine, going to a track, where everybody is running 1 cylinder, 2 stroke engines, and unveil THAT... 8)

Of course, at 13k+, it's kind of a painful satisfaction...

now THAT is pretty solid... you have a point on the $13K though.... i've already spent 5 on mine... 13K could pay for a looooooooooooot of MX3 happiness :P

...or hookers and blow, but that belong to another thread

Yep.
But not only that. The $13K is just the beginning. That hobby is as addictive as full size cars, maybe more.
In the late '90s, I bought a 1:10 scale touring car for $400 and some. Less than a year later, I had spent more than $4500 on it. I even bought a lathe to make titanium parts for the little car, and the titanium @ $260/Kg.
So...yeah, that's not a hobby for poor people... :(
