What Uncamera says is commonly believed, but if you look around on clubprotege and other places, lots of guys are running the MX-3 GS brakes with the standard 4cyl brake parts with no issue.
Obviously if you've got the parts it could only help to swap them in, but I wouldn't get too panicked about it. Lots of guys are running this way.

I believe that, but there was also a very good "article" (if you will), by Yoda, saying that it's dangerous and whatnot, because of the inbalance front-to-back.
I could find it, but you've probably already read it.
I agree though, that there are many people who do fine without all those components.

Mad Cow's MX-3 has undergone the 4cyl to ZE swap and it's running fine now, though I believe he had to go through a lot to get it that way. Oh and he's got the 4cyl master cylinder with disc brakes all around, so ask him how the braking feels... though when I drove it I didn't notice any difference, but he'd be able to tell you better.
