94 mx3 klze swap

Post by lost4good2009 »

ok so i have been doing some research for my situation here and im just confused, i have a 94 mx3, so i know theres a problem with the coolant temp sensors right? im trying to figure out what ecu to run, i was lookin to not have to chip anything, but that might not be feasable, i was wanting to pull a kl01 or kl07 ecu and kl02 vaf, but im still confused on the temp sensor things... so any input or suggestions would be great

You can get ur k834 chipped if you want, you can also run any other ecu you want. The only issue is gonna be the temp sensor. Howerver there is a easy fix, you just wire the extra sensor into your ecu or you get a kl48 ecu from a 94 probe and that will recognize the 1 coolant temp sensor, even if chipped.

If you are not chipping any kl ecus then you wanna run a kl02 vaf, if you are chipping and u have a straight neck u wanna run the je50. I currently am running a kl48 chipped for a straight neck motor and. Kl02 vaf

Yea, same swap as I have. Just get your current ecu chipped.

Send the numbers on the stock chip to ryan at probegtze @ hotmail.com

He will verify you can chip the k834, only a handfull can be chipped IIRC.

You can run a '94 probe or mx6 ECU and KL02 VAF, it won't be perfect but it'll work well.
