ok so if i get a mx6 v6 ecu and kl02 vaf can i run it on my mx3 de
92 mx-3 gs,klde,spec stage II+ clutch,awr 88mounts, remaned axles,CAI,seven nipple ditsy, new alpine speakers,panasonic 7'' dvd deck ,10'' kicker l5, hei mod, removed air box. 17 sortmaxs 10 spoke white nexan n700 tires
now wrote off with a watermelon sized dent in the driver side quater panel

93 mx-3 gs black klze fully loaded

KL02 or KL03 ECU with KL02 VAF combo should work just fine. It'll make the engine still think it's in an mx6. If you have two coolan temp sensors, your fans will just stay on all the time unless you wire in the extra sensor.

I'm actually going to be running that very setup on my mx3 except the engine (DE) is from a 93 Probe GT.

There are a few posts on here regarding the ECU VAF combos.

Your motor is a DE

The Mx-6 uses a DE

The Mx-6 ECU and VAF are for a DE

Should be obvious enough.

ok so i was looking thro the latest post and i found that you could use a k8 ecua and kl02 vaf and it would work has anyone tried this

Many; that's why we say you can do it. It's not ideal, but it works.
