klze swap question

Post by lost4good2009 »

ok so i have just got my klze, i bought headers, new gaskets, yada yada, i bought a straight neck engine, both head and cam codes were kl31 :D, and under the valve cover is a really nice golden color, well cared for engine, i also ordered a curved neck ms8 manifold with no throttle body so i used the tb from the straight neck IM, well when i was test fitting everything, i ran into clearance issues with the bottom part of the throttle body, it has an extra plug that my stock k8 TB doesnt seem to have, and is hitting i believe a hard coolant pipe, ill have to check.... my question is, is this normal?

this is a common issue as me and mooneggs discovered by swapping throttle bodies on his klze. mx6/probe are different then a klze one whice oddly enough matches a k8? email mooneggs and he will explain

You need the Millenia throttle body, OR make yourself a 3" extension (pipe with flanges on both sides) to clear the water lines.
