Need help: Misfiring Cylinder.

What has happened is that I've been putting of getting an oil change, and I didn't realize it, but I was driving with almost no oil. Yesterday I was driving in 3rd, and I hit 5000 RPM's and my engine just quit accelerating passed that. The next red light it stalled. I put oil in it, and got it running again, but at first there were really loud clanks (They stopped once the oil circulated). But now my piston is misfiring (It was before, but not as bad). When I start the engine, it takes along time to turn over, and after it finally does it will run with a clicking noise for about 30 seconds at average rev's, but then it will drop to 400-500 and shake violently. At this point, any thing other than flooring the gas pedal will cause it to stall out. I changed out the spark plugs already and I think it might be firing order, but I really have no idea whats going on. Does anyone know what it might be?

If your car stalled because it was out of oil, its a very, very, very... bad thing! Usually would mean finding a new motor.

If you think your motor is still viable, I would suggest starting with a compression test make sure the guts are working at least, and go from there.

Luckily 1.8 are reasonably priced, you should find a good one for $500 or less

The firing order on the K8 is

I already checked the order, thank you, I think I might need to time the distributor though, does anyone know how to do that?

Lol puts off an oil change and drives with no oil whilst revving to 5000....

Just get a cheap DE. The K8 is probably half dead, it's not worth beating around the bush trying to fix it.
