Farting and will not accelerate [SOLVED]

I have been looking for a cheap car so I can do the klze swap.

This one cannot accelerate as seems like it is going to stall. farting like a can of beans from Dennis the Menace.

Misfiring?New spark plugs? distributor?

Any idea's would be great.

Misfire by the sounds of it

Proly needs to be timed, jumped a tooth or needs a new disty. If you are swapping the motor does it matter?

There was a silver 94 GS on craigslist for 2700 that looks to be in better shape then mine was in. Check it out

You need to be a little more specific but from what i gathered if you had it floored when it was doing this i would check the ignition rotor located in the distributor and check the cap go from there like $20 Dollars at the most

This one is $1500 bucks and is already dropped and cat back exhaust. Just needs a new paint job as the guy tried to spray paint the scratches lol and the engine swap.

Car is 20 minutes drive from where I live. I just want to drive it and get it home .


I Didn't Floor it. This was just trying to accelerate like normal.

So if its just the disty I will go on the weekend and pick one up and test it out!!

SO I found the problem, replaced the distributor and rotor and that did not help. My friends mx-3 was starting to make the exact same farting noise so I checked his spark plug wires to see if I could see the blue spark. When I was testing number 4 the spark was shooting out of the side... it was cracked.

Went to auto parts store and payed the $150 for the new wires and bingo. This fixed both my friends problem and the car that I was interested in.. The other car had way to many problems so I am still on the search.

i Have that same prob man like it sounds like its miss firing and your flooring it and the car burly moves like your riding on 5 cylinders lol or so but changed my wires not even like 2000 ago and it was doing that farting sound so i changed my plugs last sun then it was working fine then on sat a week later it started again so again i change my plugs putting better ones like ngk iradiumns or Idk how to spell it lol and it worked but if it happeneds again Idk what it could be i might Have a defective wire or so cuz i did a full tune up like 2000 miles ago but hopefully it doesn't happen again

Ya im having this problem as well i did an engine tune up about 8 months ago new wires plug cap rotor, water pump and belts...... my car was getting terrible gas mileage so i changed EGR then it started doing the farting so i changed it back, and it is still doing it!!!! my mechanic friend though it might be the distributor but when we changed spark plugs and cleaned the contacts in the cap it ran fine for a few days....but its back again...please help me im at my wits end over this.....ohh ya it seems to studder when accelerating after warming up.......it cant be EGR. preferably idea that dont cost more then 700$.....
