Did you get your ZE running yet? I agree with the other comments. If I was to turbo my ZE it would only be after months of research and investigation. Reading lots of posts and checking out as much on line info as I could. In the end education may tell your turboing isn't really what you want or need but only education will get you to that point. Even NO2 is not for the uneducated. Temper your eagerness with education and experience. :)

Get megasquirt first, that way you can tune your car to be better N/A and get better mileage. You will also get your wideband out of he way if you do this, so if u want to turbo down the road, you have a bit taken care of already.

And if you get megasquirt you need to use an older Disty because mega squirt runs off the cam sensor right and 95-96 disties don't have the cam sensor. There could be more involved as well, I'd wait for Nitefire to mega squirt his then he can work out the bugs. He's very electrically inclinded,,,or so he claims. lol

I can't remember have you done the HEI with external coil? That'll give you a little more punch. I'm ordering my HEI stuff now and bringing in my Alt to have it modded this week to 120 amps.

knowledge is power when it comes to the turbo game.

however a low psi turbo on a ZE ( 5psi ) is a waste of time in the whp stakes.
you would make more hp on throttle bodies and a standalone ecu with the stock
cams running different timing.

now thats total bull my friend has a rsx type s, and his s--- beat a bike, besides that the mx3 not getting traction that statement is true. i agree with mostly everything else that was said and also the statement about boosting a rwd car yea its good for drifting but if you are trying to go in a straight line "good luck". also that kid needs to also change the valve retainers and get the de or aftermarket ones.

tehbrookzorz wrote:If going turbo I suggest reading Maximum Boost by Corky Bell. Besides engine internals, consider what turbocharger, manifold, wastegate, boost controller, blow off valve, boost gauge, egt gauge, oil pressure gauge, temp gauges, wideband O2 sensor/controller, upgraded fuel pump, upgraded fuel injectors, electronic fuel and ignition control (or wing it with a FMU and S-AFC or similar), adjustable fuel pressure regulator, coolant lines, oil lines, intercooler, and induction plumbing you will need. You should know what these parts do and how they will affect each other.
lol i downloaded this book and read it.
