Where to attach on engine to Pull
http://www.mx-3.com/manuals/showimg.php ... B2-050.gif" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Manual is not really clear on where to hook into the engine. Is it the 2 silver hooks?
Thanks

really when your taking out an engine, it doesn't matter where you bolt it to, just bolt it to a large bolt that will keep the engine stable

Ya two hooks, one by the coolant cap the other in front of #6 cyl. The engine is fairly well balanced when you use those. If you connect anywhere else the engine could adopt a not so good angle.

I know you believe that you understand what you think I said but I'm sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

You're about to pull an engine, and you don't even know the basic things, like where the hooks go? Ok, good luck.

Re: Where to attach on engine to Pull
I was unsure as the manual wasn't clear. . . . I have never pulled an engine before, but have done a bit of other engine work.. Got to start somewhere

Re: Where to attach on engine to Pull
Yeah, I guess you do have to start somewhere.
Be sure to mark and label EVERYTHING that you disconnect, including all the bolts. If you got a camera, take pics, too. Will save you a lot of trouble when you're putting things back together.
