Kelowna Meet 2009 Planned!!!

Next years annual meet has already been planned for July 16-20th, 2009. As for location, Jesse and I are looking into a few other places and things, so we're not quite sure where as of yet. It's also possible that we might meet as early as the 14th of July. If anyone wants to have some input as to where to have it (somewhere in the middle of BC, AB, and Washington) so that we all have about the same amount of travelling distance, feel free to post it up, or pm me and I'll look into it.

Monte and I heard about a nice quite site not far from Vernon that we can be as loud as we want (not a lot of ppl camp there) and you can bribe the site owner with beer to reserve actual specific spots. The down side to the aformentioned grounds is that I don't believe that there are any flush toilets or showers. Don't know for sure, but I'll be checking into it.

You guys are crazy... This is definitely advanced planning. Also keep in mind that this will be MX-West's 10th Annual MX-3 Meet. We'll have to make it a special one. Another thing to note, if you do Vernon, there will be lots and lots of Mosquitoes. Just something to keep in mind. I always get eaten alive when I go there, even just filling up for gas. It must be all the spraying they do in Kelowna that keeps the population low further south. Anyways, just my useless 2 cents.

Oh and about the central area (between BC, AB and Washington). I think the Okanagan area is about as central as you can get as far as driving time. I think the next best option would be somewhere around Creston or Cranbrook BC. Anywhere in Alberta is usually much too far out of the way for anyone coming from the West coast of BC (not like that happens very often). People from the US should be able to gain access to that area easy enough. Just something else to ponder.

Creston, B.C. the road from Creston to the Needles Ferry is one of the nicest in existance and Creston's a nice town. Not sure about campgrounds, but it's a nice central location.

Yeah Creston isn't too bad. My wife and I just pulled into a B&B last time we were there. I haven't checked into camp grounds or anything, but I'm sure there are lots.

Another thing to note is that this will be the 10th Annual MX-3 Meet with MX-West.

I am really impressed guys.................it is an excellent idea to start early.....it seems that in my area....no one likes to plan "early"...

I hope to make a trip from Ontario to B.C. in 2010...ya ya it is a long ways off...but time flies by...so then hopefully we'll meet.

lol, i started the thread for this summers meet last nov and almost nobody wanted to plan because it was too early........next thing you know we were not ready until the last couple of weeks. this time tyler and i planned for the next meet while we were at this last one a couple of months back. im going to try and get some more people to come and plan for something?

Nothing has been set yet...Now that the holidays are over and life can return to some kind or normal, we'll start planning again. Planning has to be mostly done by mid March cause Monte and I are going to be gone to Japan and Aussie for a month at that time. If anyone has ideas of where they'd like to go, let us know. Thanks
