Ok! Well the end of an old mx-3, and the start of a new one! As you might know my blaze red mx-3 got rear ended, and insuracne gave me $ 4000 for it. So i took that money and whipped up another beauty.

Its a special edition with all the goodies. Right interior is in my bassment, haha...so i've got to finisht that up. No name for her yet, but i'm workin on it. I got it from chris peters who i've known for about a year. Paid 3300

The car was bought with the following upgrades:

- KLZE installed!
- 350z Daytona Blue Effect paint
- Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch
- Tv screen fiberglassed into the dash
- Phoenix gold components

This car is in beautiful shape, and the color is great. The rims are also painted dark grey. As for the interior, leather all around. I need new door pannels tho, previouse fiber glassing gone wrong. Also, when i bougth the car i got alot of extra parts. Door pannels, door, wiring harness, cams, belts, alternator, steering pump, hatch garneshes, interior peices, and other stuff that i will sell! So i think that this worked out quite well.

Near future plans go as followed:

-Ractive racing seats
-Custom intake
-MS front bumper
-New rims and rubber, not sure what yet
-CarPC
-Powdercoated vavle covers/intake manifold
-Nitrouse?

So far i haven't yet driven the car, as the belt broke before i could. So, i'll be getting to work, and keep checking back for more updates and pictures! I'm going for a great looking everyday driver here, so don't expect antyhing completely outrageouse! Also, i'll be doing auto-x in summer. Can't wait![/b]

Nice find. You may need some carpet lol. The thing I like most is the paint. For some reason blue brings out the mx-3 so much.

UPDATE: THE PROJECT BEGINS

The car looks like this as of today.

I will be cleaning the s--- out of it, as well as putting the interior backtogether. It will never look like this again!

Image

Ok so. Got some goodies.

A set of SS autochrome headers, 185 CAD
Image
Probinator EPROM, 45 CAD. Put it in myself, not all that hard actually.

After getting the intake manfiold, belts, sparkplugs, oil/filter, charged batterie, thawed it all out, i went to start it for the first time sine ownership. and.

nothing. Problem? Oh i put the chip in backwards. Yah. So after i fixed it, it started! Taking it to the muffler shop to get 2.5in catback. I'll also be putting in the fiberglass subwoofer box, amp and cd player and my zx2/eibach combo from my other mx-3.

Tiny update.

Just go the car back from the muffler shop. 2.5inch piping installed with no cat, dynomax muffler and a small ss tip. as well they put in the longest resonator they could find. VERY quite, but very little restriction. Sounds beautifull. I'll post vid's and pics very soon.

I am glad that this car went to someone that had the time to work on it. It would have sat and rotted with me, and the Tyler will and has already taken awesome care of it.

I wish him best of luck and hope to see it again in person someday!

Put in a CAI the other day, much better for the engine bay, and better throttle response too. I also fixed and installed my vacuum chamber, so the VRIS kicks in now under load. Still doing some interior/soundsystem work, and waiting on some suspension parts (control arm and bushings). Also got my cruise working, idle issues straightened out (again), and fixed the dropped shifter with the bracket! (what a job...you CANNOT fit a wrench down there)

Ok wicked, so my water pump exploded...turns out my head gasket is leaking a bit too! Well thats fantastic...so, here comes the gasket change out! I started tonight, so far so good...tomorrow I'll be able to take the timing belt and h2o pump, followed by the valve covers, cams, and heads! WOO

Pics to follow just for the fun of it.

Also

- Replaced right balljoint
- Replaced water pump, hydrolic tensioner, timing idlers
- Front left caliper, rotors and pads
- New tires (Bridgstone Potenza)
- Install Modded xbox

and I got my modded xbox in the car (very cool) been in there for a while. Got a new center console with shift boot finally...winter really sucked, I didn't do much. Now that summers here I will do the following

- Finish Head Gasket with DE retainers
- Tune up (oil plugs wires blah blah blah)
- Right rear caliper, rear pads and rear rotors (did the front in spring)
- Finish the interior (finaly)
- Clean it from top to bottom
- Nitrouse?
