Sorry shot my mouth off and didn't stick around to be of any constructive help. My MX3 was built in Dec05 but is a OBD2 I checked the ECU. It has a J50 VAF.
2004 Subaru WRX Silver, stage 2, minty interior.

i swaped my car this week.
OBDII is fine.. have a bunch of extra connectors with no EGR but still runs..
1996 MX-3 GS - rollin' on Rota Slipstreams, (Red, Deep Tint, Black Lip)
True Straight Neck KLZE with TB relocate. Custom Cold air Intake. 2.25 Exhaust to Bosal muffler.
ACT Stage 2, Fidanza Lightweight Flywheel, Short Shifter with CorkSport Bushings and SS Clutch Line.
Suspension Techniques Springs On Zx2 Struts. SRD Control arm Bushings, Custom Sway Bar Links

yeah, its a bit of work but so worth it.. I'm running a straight neck ZE intake with a adapter to the throttle body...
we really need to find someone who makes OBDII to OBDI connectors like they do for hondas.. i want the probinator chip...
