Fuel Pressure Reg.

Post by MX3-Life »

1994 Mazda MX3

Basicly i need a new one so i decided to find the old one
Image

Then i followed the cords to a little device some sort of sensor that has an electrical sensor plug and 3 tube connects
1 going to the Fuel Pressure Reg
1 going to somewhere near the Throttle
1 i assume was in my air box
Image

Now when i removed my air box and put in a CAI i unplugged alot of stuff. Then i took a look at my old air box and i found a little whole that matches the diameter of the tube. So i was wondering if this tube was important and what it did?

Thanks.

I wondered about this too...you can't just unplug the wires to it, because it throws a CEL, but you can delete the vacuum lines that go to it though...it is some sort of ecu thing that controls fuel pressure a bit, but not needed though..

just put a vacuum line from the intake to the fuel pressure regulator.

there should be a nipple near the FPR to use.

I figure its a Mini-MAF but w/e ill just stick it in the intake just to be safe. Thanks... But the real problem is i have the stock rubber intake hose but a aftermarket Filter. And i still have the little rubber hose from the Regulator Sensor thingy but the thing is putting it in my Intake... Any Ideas?
(Drill a Hole? lol)

wow, that's a lot of work to hook up a sensor that doesn't do anything :)

but nice ingenuity though...I give ya credit for that.

Holy
If you can do that, why didn't you just make a CAI and tap into it?

Good luck with patenting the Stock Market...
