I bought hotshot headers from a guy off probetalk, and when i went to install them with my swap the y-pipe was off about an inch. When i went to get my exhaust redone with the swap, midas said the y-pipe was made out of aluminum, which i thought was crazy. They said they wouldnt touch it and made me a y-pipe because i had to get an exhaust since i had been pulled over and warned already about my exhaust just running an open header. So my question, does anybody know what metal hotshot headers are made out of? I want to get the y-pipe cut and welded the right size. A very simple job if it is just cermaic coated steel.

I am running hotshot headers and I had no issue with my install. From what I could tell the pipes are ceramic coated steel. Pics of my hotshot headers can be found in my work log.
