How projects go wrong.

Post by Xavier »

While i was getting my "Honeycomb" GS wheels powdercoated black i grabbed a set of Junker tires (that looked healthy) and steel wheels to ride around on for the time being. Bad idea. The left front tire Blew. And totally tore out Half of my Bumper. It scratched my paint like no other also. Here's pics.

This all makes me want to cry cuz now i absolutely have to find a new bumper, i guess my BPT Mercury Tracer has to be put on the back burner now. Time for a whole new front end. Anyone got one for sale? LOL

Mooneggs: The paint was already peeling because my girlfriends mom backed into my car. Yes it is a rubber ducky, that also doubles as a pool.

I lost the driver's side of the lip somewhere in the side of the road, gonna leave here in a few to get it back.

GregoryChristian: That cats name would be Ding-Ding.

how long did you drive on those whels for and how fast did you go?

thsoe are donuts which are pretty much for a spare. you don't exceed 50mph and don't go to long on them.

Exactly right Bochek.

With the shape that that donut was in i did feel comfortable passing forty on my Speedo.

Now i took off my front bumper (Found out it is legal in Idaho, And to avoid a "Fix-It" Ticket) and i made sure that the new tire was REALLY healthy

Found a replacement Bumper.

What do you all say to The J-Spec Presso Style bumper that Corksport sells. I like it but then if i get the lip then i'll be in WAY deep (More than twice the price of the bumper) but for now just the bumper will do. Anybody have pics of it without the lip?
